Standard requirements for packaging

Tare (packaging), which is used for carrying cargo, must ensure its safety during the transportation.

Safety implies the absence of qualitative and quantitative damages or changing the cargo provided that the packaging during transportation hasn’t been changed.

Tare should not have any traces of external damages that could affect the safety of the cargo. The volume of packaging must correspond to the volume of the inside goods. When using a sticky tape as the protection against unauthorized access to the cargo, there aren’t allowed a multilayer and traces of re- taping.

The list of the transport packaging type:

  1. Cardboard boxes.
  2. Cardboard boxes with extra protection of content (internal partitions, gaskets, pallets).
  3. Plywood and wooden boxes, crates.
  4. Crate with gaskets.
  5. Bags (nonwoven, laminated paper), bales, reinforced by the tape.
  6. Drums.

1-4 Audio, video cassettes, CDs, batteries, small household and office equipment (irons, hair dryers, kettles, cartridges, phones, etc.), dry foods (cheese, sausage, food additives, soups, pastries, nuts, chewing gum, etc.), dry medicines (tablets, bandages, cotton wool, etc.), household goods, perfumes and cosmetics, metal, disposable utensils, shoes, seeds, finishing materials (except heavy powder, liquid and in glass), stationery, printing products, cigarettes, household chemicals, small parts, accessories, fancy goods, toys, watches, souvenirs, photo goods, sports and gardening tools, wiring accessories, accessories for pets, tools, paint (available only in aerosol cans), glass lights, lamps, hardware, household cleaning powder in individual packages.
2-4 Food, medicine.
Medium and large household and office equipment.
3-4 Plumbing (shower cubicles, baths, toilet bowls, sinks, etc.), tiles, fragile glassware, chandeliers, crystal goods, all types of equipment (technical equipment, commercial, medical, sports), as well as machines, mechanisms, and etc., furniture, doors, window sills, plastic for blinds, windows, window sills, oversized or fragile spare parts, arcade machines, motorcycles.
5 Heavy powder finishing materials, household chemical powder, tubers
6 Cable

Goods, which aren’t accepted for transportation:

  • explosives, radioactive, reactive, toxic, corrosive and foul-smelling, flammable, spontaneously igniting gases, liquids and solids;
  • substances that emit flammable gases in water contact.
